Our Beginnings
Cold Skills started in 2002 (over 20 years ago) with the sole mission to improve how people operate in the harshest conditions on Earth. Particularly, the most northern parts of the Northern Hemisphere.
Our mission has been and always will be the same: help ensure you and your team operate safely, efficiently, and optimally in the arctic, sub-artic and mountainous regions of the world.
Whilst these areas are typically cold – summer, spring, and autumn also present challenges. We cover these too.
We serve civilians, professionals, organizations, government, armed forces, and more. From individuals to groups of thousands.

Our Team & Experience
Cold Skills is run by ex-military commandos. Some hold special forces experience. Having decades of combined experience in both military and civilian settings, our team comprises experts that come from the most northern parts of Sweden, Finland, and Norway. All Cold Skills team members were born, raised, and continue to regularly operate in some of the harshest conditions you can imagine.
Our team excels in the regions and conditions people refer to as ‘cold’. We live and breathe it. It comes second nature to us.

Recognized for our stellar performance and achievements in the industry, we were awarded Company of the Year in Karlsborg in 2014. We’ve also been privileged to be a key player in Taiga/Torraka development of winter uniform systems since 2005.
What We Do
Cold Skills are recognized as world leaders in field equipment, operations, strategy, and training in the subarctic, arctic, and mountain environments during any season. From mild summers to the harshest winter conditions.
We design, manufacture, and source the very best field equipment for these conditions. We are the exclusive provider of products from popular brands including 3M, Taiga, Asnes, and more.
Developed from first principles by absolute experts. End users are our design inspiration. Every product we carry or produce has been carefully selected to meet our strict standards for durability, performance, and quality. Training and consultancy we provide follow a similar mantra.
Capabilities allow us to tailor and complete custom make products or training for those that need them. Best meet your specific requirements and integrate seamlessly hand-in-glove with your current systems and operations.

Cold Skills is grateful for the 2 decades of trust we have been given when supplying R&D, field equipment, and training to our customers.
Based in Karlsborg, Sweden, today we have offices and staff around the world including Norway, Finland, the UK, Eastern Europe, and more.
